Terms of Service
Last updated 18 October 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and AllChow (AllChow Marketplace, CAC BN 9943998) when you use allchow.com or the AllChow app, whether you order food or sell it. Please read them. By creating an account or placing an order, you agree to them.
1. What AllChow is
AllChow is an online marketplace. It connects customers with independent food vendors around Abia State University (ABSU Uturu and Umuahia campuses), Uturu town and Aba. Vendors cook and deliver the food themselves. AllChow does not prepare, handle or deliver food, and vendors are not AllChow employees.
2. Your account
- You sign in with your Nigerian phone number and a one-time code sent by SMS. Keep your phone safe; anyone with it can use your account.
- Give your real name and keep your details correct. One account per person.
- You must be at least 16 years old to use AllChow.
- You are responsible for everything done through your account.
3. Prices, fees and discounts
- Food prices are set by each vendor and shown on their menu in naira.
- Delivery fee: a vendor may charge one flat delivery fee, shown before you order. Many deliver free.
- Service fee: AllChow adds a service fee to each order, shown as its own line at checkout before you pay. It is a percentage of the food total (currently 8% under ₦5,000, 6% from ₦5,000 and 5% from ₦8,000, with a minimum of ₦200). Vendors receive their full menu price.
- First-order discount: your first order may get up to 10% off, once per phone number. The exact amount is shown at checkout.
- All amounts are worked out by AllChow's servers at checkout. The total you see before paying is the total you pay.
4. Ordering and paying
- Each order is from one shop. You choose where it should be delivered (a landmark, lodge or gate, plus a note), or pickup to collect it from the shop yourself, with no delivery fee.
- Every order is paid online through Paystack (card, bank transfer or USSD) before the shop starts on it. AllChow does not offer pay on delivery.
- Online payments are processed by Paystack. AllChow never sees or stores your card details.
- Never pay a vendor outside AllChow for an AllChow order. Off-app payments are not protected and can't be refunded by us.
5. Order times and cancelling
- After you order, the shop has 10 minutes to accept. If it doesn't, the order is cancelled automatically and any online payment is refunded in full.
- When the shop accepts, it gives an estimated delivery time.
- You can cancel at no cost before the shop accepts.
- If your order is more than 10 minutes past the estimated time, you can cancel it and get a full refund.
- Refunds are explained in our Refund Policy.
6. Delivery and confirming you received it
The vendor brings your food to the place you chose. When it arrives, tap “I received my order”. Only do this once you actually have it. Confirming completes the order. If something is wrong, use chat or report the shop from the order page.
Food may contain allergens. If you have an allergy, ask the vendor in chat before ordering. AllChow can't check ingredients.
7. For vendors
- Shops go live only after AllChow approves them. We may ask for changes or refuse a shop.
- You are responsible for your food: its safety, hygiene, quality and allergens, and for following the law that applies to your business. Your menu, prices and photos must be accurate and must be real photos of your own food.
- You deliver orders yourself, on time, to the place the customer chose.
- Online payments for your orders are paid to your bank account through Paystack. You receive your full food price and delivery fee. The service fee is AllChow's.
- Don't take cash or transfers from customers for AllChow orders. All orders are paid online.
- If an order is refunded to the customer after your share has already been paid to you, that amount is added to what you owe AllChow. What you owe is shown in Earnings and is taken automatically from your next orders (you always receive at least ₦100 of each). You can pay it any time with “Pay what I owe”.
- Customers can't order from your shop while you owe more than ₦5,000 (₦3,000 until you have completed 10 orders), or while a balance is older than 7 days, until you pay. Unpaid balances are a debt you owe AllChow and may be recovered by other lawful means.
- Customers' phone numbers are shown to you only after you accept an order, and only for delivering it. Don't use them for anything else.
8. Strikes and suspension (vendors)
A vendor gets a strike for serious problems, for example cancelling an order after accepting it (unless the customer asked to cancel), taking orders and not delivering them, asking customers to pay outside AllChow, or upheld customer reports. If a shop leaves 2 paid orders in a row unanswered, AllChow closes it automatically until the vendor opens it again. Three strikes lead to a temporary suspension. AllChow may ban a shop for fraud, unsafe food or repeated problems.
9. Chat rules
Each order has a chat between the customer and the shop, open until 24 hours after the order ends.
- Be respectful. No insults, threats or harassment.
- Keep payments on AllChow. Don't share phone or account numbers or links, or ask to be paid directly.
Messages that break these rules are blocked before sending. Reported messages are reviewed by AllChow, and anyone who breaks the rules can be banned from chat for 7 days, 30 days or permanently.
10. Things you must not do
- Place fake orders, confirm orders you didn't receive, or deny receiving orders you did.
- Arrange payments outside AllChow to avoid fees, or encourage others to.
- Post false ratings, reviews or reports.
- Misuse other people's information, or try to break, overload or get around the app's security.
We may suspend or close accounts that do these things.
11. Ratings and reports
After an order is completed you can rate the shop and leave a comment. Your first name is shown with your review. Ratings must be honest and about your own order. You can report a shop from the order page.
12. Our responsibility
We work to keep AllChow running and fair, but the app is provided “as it is” and may sometimes be unavailable. Vendors are responsible for the food they sell. To the extent the law allows, AllChow is not responsible for losses caused by a vendor's food or conduct, or by things outside our control (such as network, bank or power problems). Nothing in these terms removes rights you have under Nigerian consumer protection law.
13. Changes and law
We may update these terms. If the changes are important, we'll tell you in the app before they apply. These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
